SORRY, NO PICTURES TODAY
Another day at sea...it is rather amazing how quickly the day goes by, and then I wonder where it went and what I did. We are losing one hour per day of the voyage except for the first and last day. It has to be so much kinder than the change when you fly.
Today is another formal evening. Tonight is the Big Band Ball. This evening we will pass "abeam of the position of the RMS Titanic this evening. We are currently following a path along the great circle course going northeast.
We are taking a nice leisurely day reading, eating, and reading some more. We shared some lunch. Then Neil wanted a nap, so we went to our room until three.
At three we headed to the Illuminations theater for the lecture about "Maritime Royalty: The Cunard Queens.". The lecture was quite fun. Bill Miller is really a pretty good speaker. The guest speakers seem to get rooms on deck 4 with us unless they are really important VIPs.
Dinner was formal tonight. We dressed in our formal duds. I must say that we clean up pretty well. The people from San Diego continue to be a pain....nothing seems to be good for them.. Bob announced that tonight was the last night he was putting on a tie. The food continues to be quite good. The service is good in spite of the fact that our waiter spends as little time as possible at our table. He becomes quite friendly after Bob and Marsha leave. Wonder why....LOL
The theater presentation tonight was "Viva Italia" presented by the Cunard singers and dancers. Even though we had seen the show on our 2010 trip, we still really enjoyed watching the talented young people. The costumes are amazing. What is even more amazing are the costume changes these dancers and singers can do without a break in the show.
After the show we headed down to the ballroom to check out the dancers. There are several that are very good. I disrespectfully make fun ....very quietly.... Of the old codgers who have married a trophy wife. They look like they are dancing with their daughters and granddaughters out there. There are lots of really pretty ball gowns out there.
Off to bed we went about 11:30
