N and N's New Adventure: Day 15: Bus ride around Glasgow

Day 15 of our second adventure

The day began with the usual routine at Pete’s flat, Joey up and fed, then to nap. The rest of us then got ready for the rest of the day.

At about 10:00 we went down to gather Jan and Bonnie and headed for the tour bus stop on Beyers Road. We boarded the bus and for two hours or so we rode around the the city of Glasgow. We didn’t make any stops this time as we were encouraging Jan and Bonnie to make some choices that we could use on our second day of our two day passes. We saw all the stops, and listened to all the commentary.

On the next to the final stop before repeating we disembarked at the University of Glasgow and walked slightly up hill until we were back in our neighborhood. We stopped to pick up Pete Jess and Joey, while Jan and Bonnie walked on down to their rooms.

Dinner was the highlight of the
day. We went out early thinking to have a drink, then adjourn to a second establishment for dinner. The place we stopped for a drink didn’t wish to accept Joey as a client as she looked suspiciously like a well-known beer thief. We went further down the street to a “Belgian” pub where Joey was not recognized and had a delightful time, both some beers, and dinner. One steak, three fish and chips, and one burger—all the meals were great. Some even had some dessert which was only good, not great. After a couple of hours, Joey was getting close to bedtime and was getting cranky since she was unable to get so much as a drop of beer. We walked home, said our goodbyes and split up for the evening. Again tonight we watched some British Television and were in bed while it is still light out at 10 pm.
