The 19th day of our second European adventure.
This began a a pretty directionless day, but turned out pretty great. First of all the rain stopped, it didn’t get warm, but at least it was dry. After breakfast, playing with Joey and a generally relaxing morning we took Chase out for an extended walk, the plan of which was to get her some exercise and let her do he thing . The walk was a great success, no rain, good exercise, and the dog was happy. We demolished the left over pizza for lunch. Later in the afternoon we took Joey out in the pram for a ride. The weather was dry and kinda warm so we bought some stamps and mailed postcards. Then we strolled to the Botanical Garden, bought a cup of coffee and walked , for a time Joey slept, but even after waking up she seemed to be enjoying herself. We walked all of the downhill trails and as few of the up-hills as d possible it seems crazy, but it worked. We spent a great afternoon. For dinner we had pork chop sandwiches. After Joey left us for sleepy land we tried to make so decisions about our trip and watched a show about converting an old boat house on the coast of Devon into a home. The cost according to the owner was somewhere between “an awful lot of money” and “an awful great huge pile of money.” And then to bed.
